Adding a new page

Go to the Pages menu in the menu bar and add a new page. A window pops up which lets you name the page. Make the new page visible in the menu by checking the box 'Show page in the menu'. You can change this per language and also in the overview of all pages. For more information about the other fields see SEO.

Choosing a page layout

After you've given the page a name you can pick a layout for the page in the 'Layout' tab. A layout determines where content can be placed on the page. Layouts are pre-made based on the design of your website. You can use the preview image to see how elements will be arranged on the page.

Pick the layout you want and save the page. If you're unsure what layout to choose, try checking which layout another page has which you want the new page to look like. If the layout you are looking for is not available, you can always contact us and we'll help you from there. It is not possible to add layouts yourself due to the technical consequences for the website.

You can always change the layout later. Do keep in mind that the content can jump around when switching layouts.

Setup the page structure

Click the page name you made in the Pages overview to go to the page. The page will be mostly empty, except for sections like the logo and the menu.

To change the page structure select the page structure view ( ) from the menu bar. The page will be filled with grey areas that show the structure of the page and a sidebar will appear containing the elements that are available to you.

Adding an element

The page contains empty area's which are grey with a (+) symbol in them. Click one to open an overview of which elements available to you. To add one of those to the page, simply select one. You can use each element as many times as you want.

After you've added a new element the edit window will open for that element so you can add content.

Do you have an idea that doesn't fit in an existing element? Then contact us, so we can discuss the possibilities with you.

Moving an element

A previously added element can also be moved to another place on the page. Move your mouse over the element so the toolbar appears. Then drag the element from the toolbar to the new location.

Removing an element

You can remove an element in two ways.

  • By pressing the remove button in the toolbar, which appears when moving the mouse over the element.
  • By dragging a (new) element over an existing element, the existing element will then be removed.

Be careful! A removed element can't be restored, so make sure you want to remove the element. You can move an element to a different location first and later remove it when you are sure you want it removed permanently.
